Where can I find music producers near me?

As we have said many times on Kollab, it's vitally important that unsigned artists and musicians work with quality music producers in order to have a successful music career. Whether you are aiming to be the next Adele, or simply consider music an enjoyable hobby and want a collection of songs to be proud of, it makes sense to work with a producer who can make your tracks sound the best they can be.

Chances are if you are here on Kollab you are already on board with this, and you may be asking, 'where can I find music producers near me?'

Near you? Well, let's rewind for a second before we answer that. As we know, the exciting world of remote recording is gaining momentum fast, and has led to the birth of what we call 'virtual musicians'. A virtual musician can offer you all of the services a regular musician can, albeit they don't have to be in the same room as you. So for example, a singer in Copenhagen can hire a guitar player in Los Angeles to record guitar parts for them.

The concept of a virtual musician is undeniably exciting, potentially groundbreaking even, and it's the reason we started Kollab in the first place...

The same goes for producers as well...we call them, you guessed it...'virtual producers' (you can see what we did there). A virtual producer can speak to you on the phone or video call, discuss and help with arrangements, make changes to your tracks and raw files, mix, master, edit and more. In fact, the only thing they are not doing is physically setting the gear up and recording you and making you cups of tea.

This 'virtual' approach to music making opens so many more doors for artists - it's truly an exciting time to be making music. If I was to look for music producers near me I would be severely limited in comparison, and besides - who cares if they are near you? In France, there's a seasoned producer who has worked with Daft Punk ready to connect with you and work. Over in London, theres a chap who has worked on more hit songs than you've had hot dinners, he's waiting for your order on Kollab! In Los Angeles...you get the picture!

Consider the negatives of hiring a virtual musician or producer - we understand that some people like to meet in person and have an old school 'face to face' relationship, but is this really so much of a benefit that you will limit your choice of producer to whoever happens to be in your town or surrounding area?

If you are looking for music producers, take some time to consider hiring a remote producer - view some of our producers on offer here. Send them a message, we're all friendly on Kollab and happy to chat about the process and answer any questions you might have. Who knows, it might just be the best decision you make for your music...
